Beulah Karlene Wegner, 68, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died December 2, 2023 in Fayetteville. She was born November 23, 1955, in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of the late Loyd and Lahoma Tabor Vineyard. She graduated from Garden City High School, Garden City, Kansas, in 1973. She had worked as a caregiver at Lifestyles in Fayetteville; as a cook at City Hospital, and worked at Hogwash Laundry. Even though she had some disabilities her desire to stay busy allowed her to have many hats including; Deli cook, Baker, dietician, seamstress, business owner in Garden City, Kansas to name a few. She also had hobbies like making clocks. She was an advocate for the downtrodden and had American Indian Heritage which inspired her to live by old Indian Values. She loved and respected the earth and its inhabitants and will be welcomed by the Great Spirit. She had just received her 45-year chip from AA and always supported her sister, Sharon Pierce, and friend, Vivian Nicholes, in the local community affected by Aids. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a 15-month-old son, Junior, in an accident, sisters, Terry and Sharon and a brother, Bill.
She is survived by her daughter, LaHoma Cruz, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her partner and friend of 25 years, Mark Davidson, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and great great nephews and nieces; and other family members in Garden City, Kansas.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the BotanicaL Garden of the Ozarks, 4703 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72764
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
