Benita B. Aston, 85, of Lowell, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord June 07, 2024. She was born April 19, 1939 in Lincoln, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lacy and Pearl Hurst Shannon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lowell and had worked in the banking and farming industry. Benita was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary Huntsville Camp, she enjoyed reading, going for walks and working in the yard. Mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jeff Fountain; sisters, Oleta Reed, Juanita Anderson; brother, Cecil Shannon; sister-in-law, Gloria Shannon and her granddaughter Cassandra Schmit.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Aston of the home; son, Michael Fountain and wife Jeannie of Eldorado, Arkansas; daughters, Deborah Wiemer and husband John of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Vicki Delozier and husband Kent of Tontitown, Arkansas; brothers, Leroy Shannon and wife Karen of Morrow, Arkansas, Jimmie Shannon of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Roy "Tubby" Shannon and wife Charlotte of Lincoln, Arkansas; sister, Querita Faddis and husband Joe of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and brother-in-law, Don Anderson of Farmington, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 A.M.  Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the First Baptist Church 409 Johnson Avenue, Lowell, Arkansas 72745 with Pastor Aaron Matthews and brother Ben Rowell officiating with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
