Obituary

Anita Sue Hampton was born September 30, 1941 in Littlefield, Texas to Toy and Raynell (Lawrence) Sams.  She attended school in Amarillo, Texas.  She was the oldest of 6 children. She married Don Allison in 1958 and had 6 children.  She was a homemaker many years raising her children. At an early age, Anita learned what it was like to lean on the Lord when she lost two of her children as toddlers. In 1972 she married Maurice (MO) Hampton and had 2 boys.  Together they raised 6 children.  The family moved to Mooreland, Oklahoma in 1975.  Anita started her career in the healthcare field at that time working for Mooreland Hospital as a registration clerk.  The family relocated to Springdale, Arkansas in December of 1984.  Anita continued working in the healthcare field for Springdale Hospital and later with Dr. Schemel.

Anita was very active in her church, Cross Church of Springdale.  She was given the opportunity to travel to Thailand on a mission trip. this was a trip of a lifetime.   She absolutely loved ministering to the children.  She was a Sunday School teacher for many years at Cross Church.  Anita faithfully attended bible studies. Anita was led to serve with the Washington County women's jail ministry. She loved ministering to many women that were struggling with substance abuse.  She was able to help guide many of them to the path of the Lord.  Anita was proceeded in death by her husband, MO; her two little daughters Sonja Allison and Barbara Allison, one grandson, Richard Allison.  Her parents Toy and Raynell and brother, David Sams.

Anita is survived by her children: Rick Allison and wife Susan, Sheryl Cash and husband Eddy, Lisa Owens and husband Bill, Darrell Allison and wife Kellie, Stan Hampton, and Maurice (JR) Hampton and wife Lisa; five granddaughters, Karra Owens, Misty Patterson, Allyson Wright, Misty Velez, and Ashley Crosby.  Seven Grandsons, Chad Owens, Jack Brittain, Zach Allison, Jacob Allison, Nick Allison, Kyle Cox, and William Crosby.  Twenty great grandchildren. Siblings, Kaye Krogman, Beverly Reed, Mike and Debbie Sams, and Henry Sams.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM, Friday, November 1, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Foster officiating. Burial to follow in Hickory Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9AM till service time on Friday.
